.holidays.

this post will be the longest post ever.
i can already feel it :D
my exams are finally over. im on holidays.
thank goodness and now i have all the time in the world
to write on here!! :) well... most of the time, when im not
catching up on sleep or seeing my amazing friends.
sooo much has happened since my last post.
i have not been proposed to and i am not engaged, it always seems
to be the reason these days. which is amazing for those that are.
but i am unfortunately not one of those lucky ones INSTEAD...
the past two weeks have consisted of my room/bed looking like this;

of course it wasnt always this neat but you can understand my stress.
4 exams all in one week was a big effort but im so glad its over.
during swot vac i also got to spend time with my Lyell Mac girls
and our amazing hospital mum (tutor) <3
one the the girls brought in her little boy, so we got to have cuddles and
'aww' at the cutest sad face that he pulls, as we learnt about drains, tubes,
and somehow drilling into our heads arterial blood gases with the reasons
behind why it was acid or base, respiratory or metabolic.
safe to say we brought lots of sugary treats to keep our minds 'alert'
and of course had lunch afterwards as our reward for a hard days work :)

.my nerdy outfit for the day.
(secretly you know there would be a photo :D)

.the amazing violet crumble slice miss nichole made...
i may have had 4 pieces :S.

.myself and the amazing miss meagan,
she is gorgeous inside and out.

.nichole having cuddles with the main man.
.cuuuute.

.being the best aunties...ever. :)

.making up for the teasing of his bottom lip bandit-ness
earlier in the day by feeding and putting to sleep
the little man :D.

i swear chloe is amazing. to still do our course and look
after this little bundle of joy is incredible.
she is an amazing mum and will be an amazing nurse. :)
i am so lucky to be apart of such an awesome support group of
those girls. i dont think anyone else in our course really has
the incredible strength and tutor that we do at the Lyell Mac.
i truly appreciate each and every girl/soon to be nurse
i have become so close to them all. they feel like sister to me.
we are so close that we even decided to set another study day during
that week and lock ourselves away in the adelaide university med students
computer room at the hospital :) the cleverness of us.
it included a little late night brownie baking the night before. <3

.i am so proud of these, first try and they tasted awesome.

.meagan and i procrastinating during our study day. :)
.we love our socks.

so i am proud to say that i survived my week of exams.
although i do have all my results back yet, im super
happy that i got a distinction (75-84%) for my practical
exam. :D when i was sure i failed because i forgot to
mention kinks in a drainage tube. the silly things i worry about.
so now its just fingers crossed that i dont have to sit
a supp. exam the week before we go back.
i think one thing that helped me was the cheeky full body
massage i received as a birthday present this year from my
two amazing aunites and decided to use during my swotvac week.

.greatly appreciated!.

.this was the table inside the beauty therapy room.
.a glass of water and home-made biscuit.
.amazing.

sarah the lovely lady that did my massage does so from her home.
the front room has huge comfy couches and has such a relaxing vibe.
she was so professional and lovely. the whole experience was amazing.
ive never had a full body massage before and i must say it was to die for.
she made my whole body feel relaxed and rejuvenated.
i am most definitely going back to see her again!
if you are interested at all and you live north of the city i suggest you
look her up and experience your own little hour of paradise. :)
she has an amazing range of soy candles and is in the process of
editing and revamping her page but contact her through that website.

during the uni semester i had two pieces of paper on the back
of my door reminding me of important due dates of assignments.
the back of my door when from this;

to this....

oh and how i am excited to try and do all of those in
4 weeks! :)
i had forgotten to ad one very important thing to this list
and that is to look after my very sore, sad and puffy puppy dog.
about a week ago i noticed a little lump on her left cheek.
she went to the vet on tuesday and they said to keep an eye on it.
if anything changed to make another appointment.
well i came home from my last exam on friday to see my puppy
looking like this ...

:( my darling.

she was off to the vet that night, started on antibiotics and booked
for another appointment the following day. on saturday morning i
honestly thought with the antibiotics, that although it wouldnt have
shrunk it could not have got any bigger...

.she was the saddest puppy dog on saturday.

.ripley is a half staffordshire terrier and
half bull terrier. by the looks of this she
was trying to look more like a bull terrier.

.i love her with all my heart,
my bestfriend.

she was so sore that i was spoon feeding her tin
spaghetti, something soft enough because she couldnt
chew from the pain. i swear that the yelp that comes from
your dog when she is hurting is a sound that breaks your heart.
today the swelling has gone down and she can just see out of
her eye again. thanks to two loads of antibiotics.
the plan is to get the swelling and infection down enough as
tomorrow she is back again for xrays and an operation to
remove her tooth that could be causing the problem.
a tooth root abscess. :(
i am terrified. she is my world. i got her at 9weeks old from
the animal welfare league. i fell in love with her at first sight.

.she may be older with a few grey hairs now,
but she will always be this lanky little thing
in my mind and my heart.
she something still acts like she did at this age.
<3

it is so good to be have my internet back again.
after possibly being hacked and going over our limit
half way through the month, my mother has upped
our internet data to 50G!! hells yes!
im super excited!! because that means i have all the time
in the world to look at baby shower ideas for my gorgeous
miss emily. im so honoured to be able to help her organise
her baby shower!! it is going to be amazing! :)

so this week i will get to spend
monday at the vet, then browsing the internet for ideas.
tuesday. i am spending with the one and only emily.
wednesday is undecided and will end at dance class :)
thursday night is my cousins play which i am attending.
friday night the amazing boys of my catalyst are playing
their first all ages gig basement show in a long time, which
i wouldnt/havent missed for the world since they started
(only for my 21st... :P)

and the weekend i am unsure of, i need to check my diary but
im too comfy to move from my bed, so that shall be a surprise
later in the week.
:D

thats all for me tonight! over and out!
enjoy your week :)

love always, Skye x
