i get to be a forced vegetarian on good friday - not that im complaining about it.
i actually have thought about making the transitions only to realise i like steak way to much..
we go down to the river and spend time drinking and laughing with family and friends.
and HELLO the chocolate!
my a sucker for that stuff. not that i really need it. and always manage to eat to much and make myself sick... i guess ill never learn.
this trip i left the skiing to everyone else and i spent most of my time either on dry land, back in the cabin with a headache so sleeping or in the back of the boat.
not so much boat action on the friday, the water was terrible.
but it settled as the days went on.
im very lucky to have such amazing family to let me tag along on their adventures.
i love them all dearly.
i would normally head up for a night then drive home for easter sunday with my nanna.
but this year she told me to stay up there and not interrupt my holidays.
bless her cotton socks.
so while we were away my mum stayed back and puppy sat by auntie and uncles boarder collie pup, Sasha.
i was going to be interesting to see how my dog Ripley was going to react since she as been an only child for such a long time...
they seemed to make friends pretty quick, and Ripley put Sasha in her place when she needed to.
as for what we got upto whilst at the river, it really just consisted of skiing and drinking! i tried my hardest to teach my auntie how to be a more seasonal drinker but she is too smart.
however i did often open the bottle of wine for her and fill her glass without asking.
:)
it is always nice to get away for that short period of time.
to take photos and breathe a cleaner air... not sure how true that statement is to be honest.
it definitely is more relaxing, especially when im not expected to do anything.
so i go for walks. listen to lana del ray and get lost in my own complicated thoughts.
